Schools:
a good place for a healthy start

All children need an educational setting that is safe, welcoming, accessible, and provides diverse opportunities to develop the social emotional, academic, and creative skills necessary to succeed in life.

What we can all do and Blaine School staff do every day

  • Notice and celebrate when students do well.
  • Check-in with students who seem to be feeling down or isolated.
  • Listen without judgment.
  • Give students a smile or thumbs up regularly. It might be just what they need to feel seen, to feel connected.
  • Encourage and believe in all students.
